Travellers Auto Barn provides and underwrites all its own warranties and guarantees. All these policies are laid out clearly in the Term & Conditions.
What this means?
This essentially means that the company who sold you the car and everything with it, is the company whom you deal with - full stop. There is no "3rd Party involvement" with your claims; basically the company who sells you the car, is reponsible for the car and cannot wipe responsibility of the breakdown or your warranty claims to some "3rd party warranty" company whom may or may not comply.
Warranty Policies are purchased additional to the price of the car. But once you are on the road with the car, the company who sold you the car has NO RESPONSIBILITY to you once you are on the road.

Nationwide Guaranteed Buyback
You may have heard about the great story of buying a car for $1500 and then selling it for $2000 6 months later. I would be bragging too if I had done this!!! However, it is actually more common for people to spend their last 3 weeks in Australia trying to sell their car, and eventually taking a price that is less then what a buyback would have offered. The real cost there is the 3 weeks of lost time, and what a precious 3 weeks to waste. These people logically don't brag too much, so you don't hear these stories that often.
A guaranteed buyback is like an insurance policy for sale at the end of your journey. You don't have to claim it, but it is a legal contract between us and yourself that says we will offer a set cash price upon return of your car should you wish to claim your buyback. You are fee to onsell your car, but basically if no-one offers you more then your buyback, book it in, and you'll have cash in your hand within an hour. It is really that simple.
And as we have branches in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Cairns, Perth & Darwin you have the flexibility of buying your car in Sydney and getting your buyback in Cairns and vice versa. No worries!
Word of warning - beware of buybacks that require you to pass a roadworthy test before they will honour it (ours do not) as your car is very unlikely going to be roadworthy after it has done 25,000kms around OZ.

This basically protects you from buying a dud and is designed to provide peace of mind as to the integrity of the vehicles we offer. Unlike buying from another traveller or privately, Travellers Auto Barn will give you your money back should there be a serious mechanical issue with your vehicle.
Ultimately, you are trying to get on the road, so if you aren't comfortable with your vehicle or if there is a problem, we are always happy to find you another more suitable vehicle for you.

14 Day Total Warranty
We stand behind the vehicles we sell and are here to support you throughout your entire journey. All vehicles are fully serviced prior to you picking it up. However, cars being mechanical items, we can only fix what we see as broken and sometimes it takes a good drive (unfortunately we can't test drive every car 100km's) to see some problems. That is why we recommend a good day drive of your car before you undertake the mammoth task of circumnavigating a continent.
This drive will allow you to see how the car is running, and bring to our attention any item that our shorter test drive didn't uncover. Simply bring the vehicle back to us within 14 days and we'll fix the problems for you for free. Once you feel comfortable with the vehicle and its performance, you are on your way!

5,000km Engine & Gearbox Warranty
Whilst we pressure test every engine before we put it on the road, there is no telling when some problems will occur. Therefore we cover the two most essential (and costly) components of your vehicle for repair for up to 5,000 kilometres of your trip. To give you an idea how far 5,000km is, it is like driving from Sydney to Carnarvon in North Western Australia. That is one hell of a drive!
We want everyone to get the most from their vehicle and through our experience with cars, we know all of the potential problems that no so experienced drivers can fall into. Therefore we brief absolutely everyone on the essentials of engine and gearbox care and maitenance. So with a bit of care and this warranty, you should be cruising the long long highways of Australia with full peace of mind!

Full Mechanical Inspection & Service Upon Purchase
Not everyone's a mechanic and not everyone's mechanically inclined. That's why dealing with someone who offers a full mechanical service, prior to you hitting the highway is absolutely essential.
Travellers Auto Barn offers a full mechanical service and roadworthy prior to the delivery of every vehicle. That means whilst we fix the vehicle, we then have the vehicle independently assessed as to it's roadworthy condition prior to journey. Offering to assess your own work leaves the vehicle open to a conflict of interest. Its like asking yourself whether you have done a good job or not.......of course the answer is yes.
Travellers Auto Barn's full mechanical service and independent roadworthy assessment means that you can feel assured that you have been given a quality vehicle, that has had the right attention prior to an epic adventure.

Registration & Registration Extension Solutions
Every vehicle that Travellers Auto Barn sells will come with 1 of two things:-
- enough registration to cover your entire journey with a little bit extra to help onsell your car
- for people travelling longer term, a strategy in dealing with having to re-register your vehicle at the cheapest price before your journey ends
Each state has a very different set of rules and regulations regarding registration, and when travelling Australia you may end up in a state, needing to re-register your vehicle which has a different states registration. And so the problems start.
Through growing a small business in helping backpackers live their dream, Travellers Auto Barn has learnt everything there is to know about how to deal with registration and what it means between each states different policies. The sales person you are dealing with will identify your registration requirements and match the best suited vehicle with registrtation to suit your needs, or provide you with a clear and definite set of instructions in dealing with the re-registration of the vehicle.

Guaranteed Title
You bought the car, you own the car. Travellers Auto Barn provides all the necessary documents and advice on dealing with the title of the car. Provided you don't lose them, you will be given legally binding and clear ownership papers for the vehicle.

Roadworthy Certificate
This is known as the "Pink Slip" in New South Wales, but generally can be referred to as a "Roadworthy" Australia Wide. It is a fundamental check of a few items of the vehicle as required by law for registration purposes. It in no way is a full mechanical check, and does not test more essential items such as the pressure in the engine.

Nationwide Roadside Assistance Membership
Known as the NRMA in NSW and the RACQ in Queensland and the RACV in Victoria, similar to registration these organisations are different state by state. However in saying this, membership of one of the above organisations provides 24 hour, Australia wide roadside assistance, meaning that they are all linked.
Travellers Auto Barn provides membership to one of the above organisations (depending where you bought the car - remember we are in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Cairns) you basically has access and support to all the membership facilities of every state based roadside assist organisation.

Let's face it, Australia as a continent is larger then all of Europe all together. The climate conditions as well as the roads make the journey quite an acheivement and somewhat of a challenge for you and the vehicle. But hey, if it wasn't adventurous, not so many people would do it. So occurences like breakdowns are sometimes completely unavoidable no matter how well prepared you and the vehicle are. Even moreso, when you are in a place that you just wanted to drive through at a 100km per hour to get the hell out of there, you will likely have these occurences.
Through the Aftersale FREECALL support line, Travellers Auto Barn will deal with your breakdown and the mechanics for you. Not only will you be recommended to a garage that we know will fix the breakdown at the cheapest price, but we will also deal with the mechanic on fixing the issue for you. This means that you can be assured that if you have an issue, anywhere in Australia, Travellers Auto Barn will get you back on the road costing you the least amount of money.
Strangely enough, mechanics located in remote areas can see a goldmine when a tourist with an older car comes to them problems. Without Travellers Auto Barn's support, upset and poorer travellers end up having a lot more fixed up with their car, then was actually needed.

Third Party Property Insurance
Unfortunately the insurance companies of the world deem it too much of a risk to offer fully comprehensive car insurance to travellers in Australia. However, Travellers Auto Barn can offer Third Party Property Insurance to cover yourself against the damage of other peoples property. This is a good idea, because for a nominal fee it may save you your holiday if you happen to have even a minor accident with a prestige vehicle.
The Third Party Property Insurance we have provides excellent coverage and is excess free if you are 22 years old and have over 12 months driving experience. If you don't fit this bill then the excess is $400, but the cost of the policy is the same.
Included in your registration paperwork is Third Party Personal Insurance, which covers you against injuring anyone else besides yourself. So combined with Third Party Property Insurance, your only liability is the value of the car that you have purchased.

Maps, Discounts & Camping Gear
Being a member of one of the Roadside Assistance companies mentioned previously, you have access to a wide range of FREE MAPS which are comprehensive enough for your travels. We also give away heaps of information on regions, national parks, camping grounds etc which also help in finding your way around.
We want you to have fun in your car, and lots of people want us to tell you about them, so we always have a range of discounts for activities such as sailing, whale watching, diving, quad biking etc etc, that we give to you when you hit the road.
We try help out purchasers with good camping gear and generally have a mixed range of stuff. You are free to select whatever you can use from our available stock when you buy your car.

Stereo
There is enough American/Australian/Botswanan Idol on TV, so you don't need to listen to your mates singing on a 6 hour trek. Every car is fitted with a working Radio/Cassette stereo and some cars luckily enough have a CD Player in them.
If all your music is on CD or MP3, a simple $20 adaptaor can be purchased to plug into your radio cassette. Of course we'd be happy to install a CD stereo for you, but you will need to discuss this with the sales person before you buy.
