Campervans are extremely popular in Australia, and by far one of the better ways to see this country. Campervans are usually either hi-top or pop-top and sleep two to three people. Standard equipment includes professionally fitted fridge, 2 burner gas stove and grill, water tap and sink, as well as a table to sit around.

PRICES:

Because of the size of the country and the high demand for this type of vehicle, campervans are usually sold at a price in the higher end of the scale. If you are planning to spend around $3,000 to $8,000, we recommend you look at purchasing a Ford Falcon Stationwagon or a basic van.

The campervans available on the private market between $3,000 and $8,000 are usually very old and not roadworthy for a trip around Australia. Because of the high demand for these vehicles at the cheaper end of the scale, the vehicles for sale are further more priced very high on the private market. We advise all travellers to take caution and be careful with campervans older then 10years.

However, if you can afford around $18,000 on a vehicle, you could end up having a cheap trip, travelling in style, and with a guaranteed buyback price of 50% up to 6 months after purchase.

We routinely change Engine Timing belts and include 12 month / 2000 km Warranty with our Campers as these vehicles are simply not as tough as Ford Falcons and repairs can be very costly.

NOTE: Vans are not suitable for more than 2 people and you should be planning a slow, unhurried trip. Remember the vans have relatively small engines.

Cheap Vans
Cheap vans are to be avoided when buying a campervan, because you are usually paying for what makes it a "campervan" and not for a sound mechanical vehicle.
